My hobby began because I live in New York State in a tourist community and I'm interested in New York State Tourism. It all started with a digital camera that I received about 6 or 7 years ago. After receiving the camera as a gift and developing a passion for taking landscape photos, I created my Chautauqua Tourist website using several area photos. I've always had some interest in art and quickly found a new hobby in photography. Pictures and articles on this site make up a great New York State travel guide especially Chautauqua County.
As I collected more and more photos on my camera and on my computer I wondered what I would do with all of the Chautauqua area photos and initially began printing, framing and selling some of them to New York State tourists and locals in this resort area who liked them. As time went on, I began posting them on the internet at places like Shutterpoint.com and Shutterfly.com but still found myself wanting to do more with them. Next I began working on a website of the Chautauqua area where I could use all of my own photos. I signed up with a company who taught me exactly how to build the site called Site Build It and they also helped me and taught me how to promote it. It was a great start to my current site which I've since had redesigned and have relaunched. The name of the sight is www.chautauquatourist.com.
My Chautauqua tourist website is a site about an area in Western New York where people love to visit during the summer months. Many New York State Tourists may like it during the winter months too particularly if they are snow lovers as it could be considered the snow capital of the world. When visiting the site, a person can find out all sorts of things to do, places to stay, places to eat, interesting articles and several photos of the area. This is the place where I feel satisfied showing my photos as this is where they fit best. Plus, it is satisfying having created a website that I can share with other interested locals and New York State Tourists who want to know more about the Chautauqua area. I share many New York State attractions here.
As time has gone by, I have received a great deal of help from my brother-in-law who is a website designer and has redesigned the Chautauqua Tourist site making it much more up to date. Because of his interested, he too created a site at www.cqvibe.com. See the link below. This site is a compliment to the Chautauqua Tourist website where a visitor can find much more information.
