Several Chautauqua campgrounds provide tourists with just what they are looking for when it comes to a great outdoor vacation.  Since there are two lakes, Chautauqua Lake and Lake Erie, within just a few minutes of each other, the opportunites for camping and outdoor activities is very great.

Chautauqua Institution is close to many local campgrounds There you have a  full nine weeks program with the opportunity to listen to operas, concerts and catch a performance by a leading entertainer.  Situated right on Chautauqua Lake, Chautauqua Institution is a place not to be missed by the vacationer.

There are several Chautauqua restaurants and attractions within minutes of many Chautauqua campgrounds.  Some attractions include state parks, amusement parks, wineries, Chautauqua creek, farmers markets, amish living tours, museums and many more.
