The Chautauqua County Development Agency (CCIDA) was created over 30 years ago. Since then its responsibilities have been to promote recreational and economic industry in the cities, towns and villages in Chautauqua County. The CCIDA works closely with other development and workforce agencies such as the Chautauqua County Department of Planning and Economic Development. Its main goal is to attract new businesses to the area, retain current jobs and hopefully create new opportunities for industry in the area.
Financial assistance is just one of the services provided by the CCIDA. They are also active in developing infrastructure and industrial parks. Increased employment opportunities and stimulating the local economy may result because of their efforts. As some of the CCIDA goals are accomplished, it is likely that there will be an increase in recreation and tourism to the area. These efforts will help Chautauqua County to maintain its local business environment presently and in the future.
Two low interest funds are available to eligible applicants. The "AL Tech Revolving Loan Fund" and the "Chautauqua Revolving Loan Fund". The funds have been used for Chautauqua County business expansions, equipment purchases and financial aid for the purchase of local businesses within Chautauqua County.
